She dedicated countless hours to studying, showing remarkable discipline and determination. Her hard work paid off\u2014she successfully passed not only a targeted Tokyo metropolitan high school but also passed two private schools as a backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a father, I felt immense pride and gratitude. This journey became a celebration of her achievement and perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although there was a public holiday from March 20 to 22, we couldn\u2019t travel then due to weather conditions and my son\u2019s football commitments. Instead, we carefully planned a 4-day trip starting on March 27. All Shinkansen tickets and hotel bookings were arranged in advance, allowing us to travel smoothly without stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The timing couldn\u2019t have been better\u2014cherry blossoms were in full bloom \ud83c\udf38, the weather was pleasant, and the cities were vibrant with travelers. It was truly the perfect season to explore the Kansai region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JJust before departing, I received an unpleasant message from someone speaking without proper understanding. Rather than allowing it to disturb my peace of mind, I chose not to engage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Nepali proverb wisely reminds us, \u201c\u0917\u0941\u0901 \u092e\u093e \u0922\u0941\u0902\u0917\u093e \u0939\u093e\u0928\u094d\u0926\u093e \u092e\u0941\u0916\u092e\u093e \u091b\u093f\u091f\u093e\u201d\u2014throwing a stone at filth only causes it to splash back on you. It\u2019s a gentle reminder that not every comment deserves a response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Protecting one\u2019s inner calm is especially important before embarking on something meaningful. In our culture, the idea of <em>Subha-sahit<\/em>\u2014beginning with a positive and composed mindset\u2014is deeply valued. Holding on to that belief, I chose to focus only on the joy and purpose ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With calm hearts and excitement, we began our long-awaited family journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude84 Day 1 \u2013 March 27: Tokyo \u2192 Osaka (Shinsaibashi &amp; Namba Nights)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our journey began at 12:50 PM as we left home, excited and well-prepared. We arranged our four seats facing each other, turning the ride into a cozy family space. For the first hour, we played cards, laughed, and enjoyed the passing scenery outside the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By 17:00, we arrived at <strong>Shin-Osaka Station<\/strong>. After picking up some snacks, we transferred to <strong>Shinsaibashi Station<\/strong> and headed to our hotel in the lively Namba area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 17:30, we stepped out again to explore the vibrant streets of <strong>Dotonbori<\/strong>. The iconic <strong>Glico Running Man Sign<\/strong>, neon lights, and buzzing crowds created an unforgettable first impression of Osaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, at 20:00, we visited <strong>Osaka Castle<\/strong>, beautifully illuminated at night. The calm surroundings of the park contrasted perfectly with the city\u2019s lively streets. After exploring for about an hour, we enjoyed freshly made takoyaki\u2014so hot it almost burned our tongues!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Returning to Dotonbori, we waited around 30 minutes to try Osaka\u2019s famous okonomiyaki. The wait was worth it. A pleasant surprise came when we were served by a Nepali student from <strong>Kobe University<\/strong>, making the experience feel even more special and personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We returned to the hotel around 23:30. Being a Friday night, the area was full of energy\u2014busy bars, lively crowds, and the unmistakable scent of nightlife. Completely exhausted, we fell asleep quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfa2 Day 2 \u2013 March 28: Universal Studios Japan Adventure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After breakfast at 8:00, we headed to <strong>Universal Studios Japan<\/strong>, arriving by 8:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With tickets already purchased online, we entered without delay and began a full day of excitement. We enjoyed multiple attractions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cinema 4-D Theater<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sing on Tour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Universal Monsters Live Rock and Roll Show<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hollywood Dream \u2013 The Ride<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Space Fantasy \u2013 The Ride<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minion Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jurassic Park (we skipped the Flying Dinosaur\u2014it was too intense for the kids!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WaterWorld<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of the day was <strong>The Wizarding World of Harry Potter<\/strong>. Several visitors commented that my son looked like Harry Potter, which made him incredibly happy. We also enjoyed the Flight of the Hippogriff ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong>Super Nintendo World<\/strong>, we waited about 90 minutes for the Mario Kart ride\u2014but it was absolutely worth the wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We even watched <em>Jujutsu Kaisen 4-D<\/em> twice, thanks to my daughter explaining the story in detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After leaving the park, we were extremely tired and hungry. We tried to dine at <strong>Saizeriya<\/strong>, but the long queue made us change plans. Eventually, after a tiring walk, we found a Nepali restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinner at <strong>Bhatti Restaurant<\/strong> felt comforting\u2014warm food, familiar taste, and a much-needed rest before returning to the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd8c Day 3 \u2013 March 29: Nara &amp; Kyoto (Temples and Tradition)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We departed early for Nara at 8:50 and arrived around 9:20. After storing our luggage in station lockers, we walked toward <strong>Nara Park<\/strong>, passing <strong>Nara National Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The freely roaming deer were a highlight\u2014feeding them crackers was a fun and unique experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We then visited <strong>T\u014ddai-ji<\/strong>, home to the Great Buddha (Daibutsu). The enormous wooden hall and massive bronze statue were truly awe-inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After lunch, we continued to Kyoto and checked into our hotel, where we encountered a small surprise\u2014an additional accommodation tax per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Kyoto exploration included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>T\u014d-ji<\/strong> \u2013 known for its towering pagoda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Yasaka Shrine<\/strong> \u2013 lively with cherry blossom celebrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hanami under fully blooming sakura \ud83c\udf38<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening, we explored <strong>Gion<\/strong> and visited <strong>Fushimi Inari Taisha<\/strong>. Walking through the illuminated torii gates at night created a magical and unforgettable atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinner was once again Nepali cuisine\u2014something our kids unexpectedly enjoyed throughout the trip. After a relaxing onsen bath, we slept peacefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfef Day 4 \u2013 March 30: Kyoto Highlights &amp; Return to Tokyo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We woke early, enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and checked out by 9:30. After storing luggage at Kyoto Station, we explored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2728 Kinkaku-ji<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf, reflects beautifully in the surrounding pond. Originally built in the 14th century, it remains one of Kyoto\u2019s most iconic sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udff0 Nij\u014d Castle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A 400-year-old castle famous for its \u201cnightingale floors,\u201d designed to chirp as a security measure against intruders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We attempted to visit <strong>Kyoto Imperial Palace<\/strong>, but it was closed. Still, the vast grounds were impressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our final stop was <strong>Kiyomizu-dera<\/strong>, offering stunning panoramic views of Kyoto from its famous wooden stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude84 The Final Rush Back to Tokyo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our return journey turned into an unexpected adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially considering a bus, we switched to the Shinkansen due to time constraints. At Kyoto Station, we rushed to buy tickets and grab food. Misjudging directions, we ran across the platform trying to catch a train\u2014only to find all non-reserved seats full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, we boarded the last train at 20:00. Though we had to sit separately, relief replaced the stress as we settled in.
